Ninety Minutes in the Desert

Naptime for bunny
How to beat the heat on a desert day that will be in the 90s?--do your hike really early in the morning.  Becca and I were on the trail by 7:10, and we finished our trek a little over 90 minutes later.  It was just beginning to feel pretty toasty by the time we got back to the car.  We had a nice outing, although I didn't take many photos; my head was lost in contemplating literary matters--not that the latter ultimately will matter very much.

That rabbit that has burrowed into the wet dirt for a nap is so cute.
