Desert Cardinal

Getting dapper
The only critter of note we encountered on our morning trek today was a male Pyrrhuloxia who was grooming himself in a bush.  He made several outstanding calls to attract our attention, perhaps seeking our approval for his freshly coiffed appearance.  I took eight photos of him while we went about his business before flying off.  The only other remarkable thing about our trek was the heat.  It's on again, and the humidity is rolling in to pose the possibility of rain later in the week.
