Heading High

East side of the Organ Mountains
I did a quick hike west of Tortugas Mountain without my camera this morning; I actually forgot to bring it along.  When I got back we finished packing for our trip to the Sacramento Mountains, ate lunch, and then hit the road for High Rolls/Mountain Park.  We got up here between 2:20 and 2:30 p.m., which is a little later than normal, but we paid a short visit to Aguirre Springs National Recreation Area on the east side of the mountains in Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument prior to heading for even higher ground.
