Today must have been the first day of classes for Centennial High School (pictured below) because it was incredibly crowded at the intersection of Dripping Springs Road and the entrance to the Sunset Area of the Tortugas Mountain Trails system. It was so crowded, in fact, that I'm tempted to choose another location for tomorrow's morning hike.
The only person we encountered today was the friendly guy who we often see when Becca and I are finishing our trek; he's frequently just starting off when we're headed back to Whitey the CR-V.
When we got home I took a shower, grabbed the shopping list afterwards and headed out to Target and Albertsons to stock up on supplies I usually buy every week on Tuesday. A few events--like getting our garage door repaired--interfered with my schedule; and because Dr. K has been in Santa Fe for days I haven't felt especially compelled to follow my normal routine.

Nice photos of the Climbing Milkweed. I hope the traffic gets better even though the high school is now in session.
