This and the next:  different views of the same small Torrey Yucca
Took a decently long hike west of Tortugas Mountain this morning, and it felt good to be out there considering I missed a day yesterday after a dentist visit to have work done for a new crown.  Today, by the time I was on the inbound leg, the temperature was uncomfortably high.  We're headed for 79F this afternoon.

On the trail near the old white shack I ran into Renee and his special dog Rayo.  I petted Rayo a few times, chatted briefly with Renee and returned to Whitey the CR-V to drive home, shower and head out for the weekly shopping trip to Target and Albertsons.

After lunch Dr. K and I drove over to the Las Alturas fire station to vote in the election; we voted for three progressive Water Board members and two pro-education bonds.  Took us about ten minutes, and that made participating in our local election feel even better.

I like the photo captioned "Three Sections of the Same Trail." So many sections of trails, as well as different trails, on Tortugas Mountain.
