Absentee Voters

Who's hunting behind the Creosote Bush?
The four of us hiked up to First Arroyo early this morning, took a brief respite inside before trekking back to the CR-V.  We saw nobody else in our section of the northern Chihuahuan Desert.

We returned home, filled out our absentee ballots (Dr. K and I did, that is) and drove them to the county government complex where we deposited them in the drop box.

We brought Frio and Willow along with us, and when we returned from dropping off the ballots the Heekers were in the front seats.  Not only that, but one of the dogs had turned on the hazard lights--they were that desperate to get out!
