Chilly or Cold?

Wilting Desert Marigold
It was just above freezing (32F) when the four of us got started this morning, but due to the absence of wind and the presence of abundant sunshine it only felt a bit chilly instead of cold.

Of course Frio and Willow didn't mind the weather conditions; they were too focused on sights and scents, spotting a Black-tailed Jackrabbit at least twice during our trek.

We saw no other outdoor enthusiasts during our sojourn today, though there were several vehicles parked in the lot at the corner of Tellbrook and Sonoma Ranch when we got back to the CR-V.
