Here It Comes

From high in the flatland
Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I got an early start on our morning hike today, and we easily beat the wind that was forecasted to begin at 11:00.  Unfortunately the wind started at about 10, and it's really blowing now, gusting to 55 mph.

We saw no one during our trek up to Second Arroyo and back, with the exception of a Jackrabbit that got the attention of our two curious Cattle Dogs.  Fortunately they didn't bolt after the American Desert Hare, especially so because I was holding both of their leads.

After our outing we headed to the gas station to fuel up the CR-V, and then we took a short ride afterward.
