Hike and a Drive

Soaptree Yucca
Still pretty cold this morning, and far windier than the 3 mph reported by the Weather Channel app on my phone; nevertheless, the four of us hiked up to First Arroyo and back after a brief respite from the wind.

A few days ago my friend Jimmy had recommended a drive down NM Highway 28 to see the fall foliage in the Stahmann Farms pecan trees, so immediately after our trek we headed down to have a look.  It was really worth the trouble.  That two-lane road was uncrowded, making for a relaxing trip into rural New Mexico.
