Typical male House Finch |
When we circled back and began our climb up the right branch we all noticed that somebody had ridden a horse up there--probably yesterday. I noticed visually whereas the Heelers noticed by scent, which they couldn't get enough of.
We did see one American Hare (aka "jackrabbit") during our peregrinations, but, fortunately, Willow and Frio did not launch to pursue.
All and all it was a good outing today, though I felt all in by the time we got back home.
