A Little Late

First 4:  views of the Organ Mountains
Because I had an 8 o'clock appointment this morning we three amigos got a late start on our daily trek, heading out about 9:15.  Since the forecast predicts a high of 81F for this afternoon, conditions were already warm enough for me to hike in just a long-sleeve shirt and trousers.

No jackrabbit nor other desert critter encounters today, which is always a balm for my aching body; however, Willow did latch onto a scent in Right Branch Arroyo and didn't give it up until we were ready to exit said arroyo.

No telling what she's smelling, but I suspect it could be traces of javelina; there are many signs showing they've been active in the section of desert we've been traipsing through.
