| First 3: Curve-billed Thrasher |
The one minor upset came when we encountered a jackrabbit at the intersection with the east/west cross trail. Br'er Hare almost taunted the Heelers, showing himself and then standing still while they barked and lunged. Then he lit out, kicking in the afterburners to demonstrate that no mere canine could ever catch him.
We took a few breaks along the way during our outing before exiting the right branch of the new arroyo by climbing the steep hill just east of the upper flatland road.

My favorite photo is the first image of the Torrey Yucca. And I love the three photos of the Curved-bill Thrasher.
