Another Smoky One

This & next:  waning crescent through smoke
It was hot and quite smoky when we started off this morning; I actually considered shortening our trek, but didn't.

We saw nobody else out braving the elements during our normal hike today; that's not to say there weren't other lunatics in the desert before or after us.  Even the critters had the good sense to stay sheltered.

We went straight home after our morning exploration, delighting in the air-conditioned ambience in our CR-V on the way.

This & next 2:  blooming Soaptree Yuccas at the side of LDR
