Here's the Heat

Statue of Yuccarty
Hot, hot, hot this morning in the Chihuahuan Desert; we're headed for a high near 100F.  This week is supposed to be filled with 100-degree days and higher dew points.  Can't wait.

We four did our usual hike this morning, not seeing much of anything, but still marveling at the smoke we're getting from the Black Fire.  Nasty conditions.

Mr. White Hat was driving up Tellbrook when we all piled out of the CR-V.  We didn't see him nor his dog on our outing.  His white van was still there when we finished our trek.

This & next:  still getting smoke from the Black Fire
