Scary Dry

Morning moon
Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did our normal hike this morning; what's abnormal about is the scary dry conditions in our desert.  I've never seen so many desiccated plants.

We're slated to reach 102F this afternoon, with little chance of rain.  Today--June 15th--is supposedly the official start date for our seasonal monsoons, but it's really just an educated guess about when moisture might begin streaming in from the Gulf of Mexico.

God knows we really need the precipitation.
