Brief Glitch

Not Jay Leno
We had one minor misbehavior with Willow and Frio while heading up Right Branch Arroyo this morning; nothing serious, though.  Dr. K and I had spotted a man wearing a red shirt headed down LDR near the Tellbrook Arroyo.  I speculated that it was the guy with the Bassets, and a moment later we heard them.

Willow heard the dogs, too, and she overreacted, acting as if she wanted to pursue the hounds despite their great distance from us.  Her behavior sparked a similar reaction in Frio, and both Heelers ran a short way into the grassy desert.  They didn't respond immediately to our "No!" and "Come!" commands, but did eventually.  We weren't happy with their actions, but calmed them down successfully.

The rest of the hike was uneventful, and we enjoyed the beautiful weather while finishing our outing.
