Couldn't Be Better

Ocotillos
Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did our regular hike this morning.  As soon as we'd turned right onto the east/west cross trail I let the Heelers loose.

By the time we hooked them up again--seven-eighths of the way up Right Branch Arroyo--we were absolutely impressed by their good behavior.  Even though they began to bolt off the trail several times during the trek they came back immediately when signaled to do so.

Although it was 39F when we started off today the wind was pretty much nonexistent and the sun broke though the cloud cover often enough to warm things up.  All in all a great outing.
