Four Friends

First 3:  crazy morning clouds
30F when the four of us started off this morning; fortunately there wasn't much of a breeze.  Clouds--especially to the east--were fairly spectacular out there, though it would have been nice to see a bit more sunshine.

Dr. K and I monitored Frio and Willow closely as soon as I let them off lead upon entering the east/west cross trail.  They were totally well behaved as we headed up the left branch of the new arroyo.

For a change I decided we would head southward up the middle branch, which we followed all the way to its intersection with the left.  We descended Left Branch Arroyo to the junction with the right branch, and then trekked all the way up into its source, finally exiting over the steep hill to the west.  The entire way both Willow and Frio were fantastic, and they were rewarded with numerous treats for their effort.
