Cold Yet Bearable

First 4:  clouds over the Organs on an early start

36F when we set off this morning with a strong wind that sent the windchill temperature down into the mid-20s.  Once Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I got into the LDR-A arroyo, eventually crossing over to the left branch of the "new" arroyo we pretty much avoided the wind completely.

We didn't feel the brunt of the wind again until we'd hike up the left branch, down the middle, up the right branch and exited up the steep hill west of the trail.  At the crest of the hill the wind was strong again, but we were headed for the shelter of Whitey the CR-V.

All in all--despite the cold weather--we had an enjoyable trek.
