This & next 2:  Soaptree Yucca stalks

A bit cold on this Thanksgiving morning when Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I hit the trail for our daily trek.  We saw no other nature enthusiasts during the outing, though a desert denizen made its presence known as we were heading up the left branch arroyo.

A lone coyote stood on the ridge east of us watching our progress until I spotted it.  I was able to capture some fairly decent images of the Trickster before it headed north along the ridge and eventually disappeared to the east.  Only Frio saw the critter, and his interest was piqued long after the canid was no longer visible.

We followed our usual route, climbing out of the right branch arroyo via the narrow trail up the steep hill to the west in order to reach the waiting CR-V.
