Bit of a Break

This & next:  ancient Soaptree in the left branch arroyo
We got a little break for our morning trek today; although it was sunny and cloudless there was a slight breeze that kept us fairly cool.  Also it wasn't quite as hot as it has been lately.

We did our usual hike sans extra distance; when it's as hot as it's been the last few days there isn't much incentive for staying in the desert longer.

Took a short drive after the outing to see if any cleanup had been done on the old A-frame that burned down on Tellbrook Road.  Nope!

I like the photos of the ancient Soaptree Yuccas. The desert is so, so brown.
