High Country Heat

1st 3:  American Crow

We did a nice hike on the Grand View Trail this morning trekking slightly beyond the midway ramada before turning around.  With a slight breeze the temperature was pleasant, and, of course, we stopped in the shadow of trees to take several shade and water breaks.

The only other hiker we met was at the very beginning of our outing; he was just finishing his trek.  He spoke to Willow as he passed, calling her, "Little Blue."  He also said, "It's already starting to get hot."

After we got back to the cabin Dr. K and I removed the old curtain from her clawfoot tub shower and replaced it with a new wraparound that fit almost perfectly.

Haze could well be smoke from wildfires.
