Weather conditions this morning

Oddly humid when we started off this morning; also windy with very bad air. At first we thought the haze might be smoke, but we smelled nothing of the kind. The wind was coming from the south and carried dust and sand with it. Nothing in the weather forecast about this last night.
We did our regular hike with no added distance due to the lousy conditions. However, we took a long drive afterwards through nearby neighborhoods we often frequent. The ride was somewhat pleasant, primarily because we were out of the wind.
