It was already hot on the trail this morning when we set off on our exploratory hike. The sun beat down on our heads, and there was no breeze to ameliorate the heat. But the desert was beautiful in its new green finery, and the vistas were splendid as usual. Here's a shot looking north from the Tortugas Mountain trail, sunrise side.
