Yuccas-R-Us

This late-blooming yucca caught our eyes this morning on the Tortugas Mountain trail. It was a pretty big specimen, standing, I'd guess, at about eight feet tall.

At left, an interesting large yucca with an inverted-cowboy-spur appearance.

The kind of flower planter you don't want to encounter in the desert.

I can't get over how green the desert is; it's like a beautiful oasis.
