Late Start

It's a good thing it was overcast this morning because Research Associate Becca and I didn't get on the trail until 10:00 am. We did an abbreviated hike because the high humidity made it rather uncomfortable, but we still saw a few noteworthy things in the field. This grouping of clinchweed flowers and different colored leaves made an interesting composition.
When we got back to COC we noticed that the purple sage was blooming.
