Much-Needed Precipitation

Starting out from the Sunset Parking area
Beginning about 3:00 yesterday afternoon we got a heavy storm, consisting of a downpour that lasted about thirty minutes, followed by an hour-and-a-half of steady rain.  Not only was the moisture badly needed, but the front lowered the temperature significantly, such that it was actually chilly when Becca and I hit the trail this morning.  I predict that within a few days the Ocotillos will begin to leaf out.  There was a lot of wildlife out and about, mostly rabbits and hares (as pictured in the gallery at left).
