Pleasant Hike

New condos near Tortugas Mountain
Becca and I did a moderately-long trek in the outback west of Tortoise Mountain.  Although it was 29 F when we started off, the ambient temperature made the morning easily bearable.  We ran into JC and Shaque on the way back and did the short west-side loop with them.  Talked to JC briefly about the Marfa (Texas) Ghost Lights, which I've seen several times.  You go at dusk to a lookout area and, if you're lucky, you'll see the Ghost Lights, star-like lights that move slowly and sometimes rapidly near and above the distant horizon.  Nobody has ever successfully explained what they are.
