Oblivion

Tortugas's northwest side
We took a different track this morning, heading over through the lineman school.  As we were approaching Geothermal Road we heard people talking; I could tell by the way Becca acted that the people had dogs.  Suddenly the dogs approached:  one little scampy one and one the size of Becca.  They all got along fine, just butt sniffing and no growling.  The thing that amazed me, though, was the women, who were so engrossed in their gabbing they never once looked over to see what their dogs were doing.  I couldn't believe it.  Even after their dogs rejoined them and they all started up the road to the mountaintop the women never paid attention to anything other than their conversation.  Must have been a really important topic they were discussing.
Not a lineman around

Same road, but up on the mesa (see above image)

It sure was a beautiful day for a hike.

People's obliviousness is sometimes astonishing, Packrat. I've got to agree with you.

These are the same people, Scott, who leave their shopping carts parked obliquely in the grocery store aisles while reading the ingredients on packages as if the text were written by James Joyce.
