Hiking the High Foothills

Beginning of the Sierra Vista Trail
Dr. K, Becca and I drove up to the base of the Organ Mountains east of town to do a long hike on the Sierra Vista Trail.  We only saw one other person out there, a man running with his dog, Eddie.  Eddie and Becca had some good interaction while we humans stood talking.  We've met Eddie before; he's a young Rhodesian Ridgeback who's just as friendly as can be.  Our trek was very pleasant because we got to revel in sunshine, which has been conspicuously absent for the past several days.

Those photos of the Soledad rocks with the clouds are so good. Each of them would make a good painting.
