Strawberry Pitaya Search

Flowers of Mormon Tea
Because we spotted a single Strawberry Pitaya Cactus flower behind the mountain yesterday I decided to take Becca back there again to see if any others were blossoming.  We were in luck; there were several in various stages of bloom, and, of course, I took numerous photos of the gorgeous flowers.  Strawberry Pitaya are among the most beautiful blossoms in the Chihuahuan Desert.  I can actually remember the first one I ever saw; it was behind the visitor center in the Chisos Mountains at Big Bend National Park.

I think your search for the blossoming strawberry pitaya was well worth it; these are beautiful photos.
