A New Arroyo

This and the next:  small Soaptree Yucca along the new trail
On a beautifully warm morning in the northern Chihuahuan Desert Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I hiked down LDR, crossed the Tellbrook Arroyo and began bushwhacking west of the road to see if we could find a trail we've seen people hiking on in the past.

After finding it we trekked along for a while before deciding to explore a wide arroyo that headed northward.  It was a good decision; the hiking was fairly easy and, eventually, we found our way back to LDR close to First Arroyo.  This area of the desert offers options for future exploration.

We continued up LDR to Second Arroyo, stopped in for water and photo-ops, and then headed back on what was a very enjoyable outing today.

I love the photo that you captioned "Interesting Soaptree Yucca." It was a nice surprise to find this different path.
