Beating the Bad Wind

Heelers with Dr. K on LDR
Although it was windy when Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I set off this morning the bad wind hadn't started yet.  We managed to get up to First Arroyo, stop in for water and photo-ops, and then get back to the CR-V just before the gusts began.

Twice, while entering our vehicle, though, the wind blew the driver's door shut.  And now--in the early afternoon--the wind is blowing powerfully, threatening to fill the air with sand and dust.

We were lucky to get in a nice hike today just before conditions got really bad.
