Forest Bushwhack

Bushwhacking through the forest near our place
Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I stuck to our recent usual plan up here at the cabin this morning, bushwhacking through the forest around our property.  It's really beautiful up here now, sporting more flowers than we've ever seen before.  We've had 6 inches of rain since we were here last.

After our trek we commenced doing the yard work that was the inevitable result of so much recent precipitation.  I mowed grass and weeds while Dr. K clipped blades and sprigs I couldn't reach with the mower.

We did about half the required work; second half comes after our hike tomorrow morning.

Beautiful photos of the flowers and woods (and Heelers). I especially like the images of the Indian Paintbrush.
