Better Dogs

Frio and Willow in LDR-A arroyo
Excluding Willow's constant pulling all the way down the LDR-A arroyo this morning, both dogs were very well behaved, as was Dr. K.

We did our usual hike, but when we were nearly at the northern end of Middle Branch Arroyo we let the Heelers off lead.  They found their way over to Right Branch Arroyo and headed southward up the gentle incline, all the while keeping a close eye on us in hopes of getting numerous training treats.  We delivered.

When we reached the open spot just before striking through the narrow grass-lined trail in the right branch we put Willow and Frio back on their leads, letting them lead us up the steep hill back into the upper flatland where we'd parked the CR-V.
