Wils in yucca shadow |
We're destined to hit the century mark again today, and it's the result of a heat dome that's supposed to keep us in the 100s for the week.
Before we left for our trek today I went out into the backyard to inspect (from a distance) the Mourning Dove's nest, which was empty. I inadvertently scared the two chicks who were on the ground near the fence; both flew up onto the fence and then into our mesquite tree outside of the fence. When we got home I noticed mama dove back in the nest and photographed her with at least one of the fledglings

Nice photos of the Mourning Dove with one fledging. They are such beautiful birds.
