Spring Fever

The western slope of Tortugas Mountain
People in this country are still dealing with cold and snow, so it seems somewhat insensitive to be reporting on the spring-like weather here in the northern Chihuahuan Desert.  But facts are facts.  We're headed for a high of 68 F. (20.5 C.).  But a storm is rolling in from California, and we could get isolated thunderstorms later with lots of wind.  The cold front will drop our high to 59 F. tomorrow (15 C.), and the wind is supposed to pick up full force.

March weather in the desert is unpredictable, so we always appreciate it when it's as nice as this morning.

An especially nice collection of images today, Packrat. I really like how you're able to juxtapose disparate forms and textures to lend even more interest. The profile of Becca is classic.
