I wasn't in the mood to take photos this morning because it was too darned cold out there. 22 F when Becca first went out into the backyard to do our business, and 24 F with a windchill of 18 when we headed off for Tortugas Mountain. There were a few other outdoorspersons around, as evidenced by a couple of cars in the Sunset Parking area, but not many. When we got back Dr. K and I went to get flu shots--not because of the cold weather, but because we'd been putting it off for about a month. Simple procrastination.

Finally got our freeze over the weekend, Packrat, but it's still not as cold as Las Cruces (thank goodness). We got a heavy, prolonged rainstorm today (Monday). I am so glad that it was warm enough to be rain, because if this much precipitation had come down as snow, we probably would have gotten a foot! Yikes; I'm not ready for this foolishness.
It has turned out to be a sunny, clear day, but still chilly.
I see that Chicago is going to get some really cold air tomorrow, Scott; I wonder if it'll be heading your way.
