Really Early Start

Because I had errands to run this morning and an early-afternoon appointment Becca and I were on the trail just after 7:00.  Surprisingly, there were quite a few other people out in the desert on the west side of Tortugas Mountain--no doubt trying to beat the heat.  It's been awfully hot and humid for about a week now, and temperatures will be nearing the century mark over the next few days.  Just as we were getting back to our car Jimmy was pulling his white truck beside us.  He got out, greeted Becca, and then he and I chatted for a short while.
