Sunny and Cold

Heading west out of the high foothills
We seem to be out of the rainy weather for a while (though I wonder if Hurricane Patricia will have an affect on us), and we're into a cooling trend that resulted in a cold morning:  45 degrees Fahrenheit.  The brisk wind made it feel like the beginning of winter rather than fall.  However, midway through our trek the wind died and the sun was strong enough that I took off my jacket and rolled up the sleeves of my long-sleeved shirt.  The Beckster and I did a long hike into the outback west of Tortugas Mountain, and we saw only two other hikers:  a guy and his dog.
