Where's Autumn?

Through the shadow in the high foothills
We have for the past month or so been running at least ten degrees above normal for our region.  We're supposed to be 86 or 87 again today and, frankly, I'm getting pretty tired of the hot weather.  Others I know are sick of the high temps, too.  Meteorologists are saying we'll drop into the high 70s beginning on Friday, but there will be a concomitant rise in humidity due to a system coming in from Arizona, which will increase our chances of rain to about 30%.
