A New Record

Another morning, another threat of rain
Dr. K, Becca and I set a hiking record that we won't soon break:  four consecutive treks on the Grand View Trail in the High Rolls/Mountain Park area of the Sacramento Mountains in the Lincoln National Forest.  Rainy weather conditions more or less kept us from venturing higher into the mountains; there's nothing quite as aggravating as trekking along muddy trails when you don't feel like dealing with the consequences.  Despite four hikes on the same trail we had a good time in the high country, and we already can't wait to get back up there again.
There were breaks in the clouds, though

Beautiful photos, Packrat. Every time we hike this trail I feel grateful for all of the volunteers who worked to create it.
