Cold Snap

Becca in the upper foothills
Low 40s (Fahrenheit) this morning.  I wore a long-sleeve shirt and long trousers, a felt vest, and I even brought light-weight gloves along for good measure.  Never used the gloves.  Becca wore her usual coat.  The persistent wind during the first part of the trek kept it cold, especially because we were hiking in the mountain's shadow.  But we warmed up upon breaking into the sunshine.  Nevertheless, it was still cool at the end of our hike; I never removed any items of apparel.  As we were headed to the car our buddy Jimmy stopped to talk to us.  Becca was so excited to see him I had to put her on the lead to keep her from spinning around; she does love to see her buddy.
