Back From the Mountains

Overcast morning in the Sacramento Mountains
Dr. K, Becca and I did an early morning hike on the Grand View Trail, and we abbreviated it to less than halfway because weather conditions weren't ideal and we were anxious to start back down the mountain and head for our lower desert home.

We had packed almost entirely before leaving for our trek, so when we returned to the cabin we just had to briefly finish up.  All through the day so far it's looked as if rain is a distinct possibility, but now (3:00 p.m.) the sun is shining brightly in a partly cloudy blue sky.  The weather forecast calls for a 30% chance of precipitation beginning around 4 p.m.  We'll see if we get any.
