Overcast morning in the Sacramento Mountains |
We had packed almost entirely before leaving for our trek, so when we returned to the cabin we just had to briefly finish up. All through the day so far it's looked as if rain is a distinct possibility, but now (3:00 p.m.) the sun is shining brightly in a partly cloudy blue sky. The weather forecast calls for a 30% chance of precipitation beginning around 4 p.m. We'll see if we get any.

I think those were the first Indian Paintbrush we have seen this Spring. Lovely flowers.
