Becca and I got a bit later start than yesterday, but it was still early enough to do most of our trek in the shadow of Tortugas Mountain. It was somewhat surprising to see a large number of outdoor enthusiasts on and about the mountain, but that increasingly seems to be the norm of late. Years ago almost nobody hiked in this area--especially during the hotter months.
