Devil's Head and Hedgehog Cactus |
Although the parking lot was noticeably crowded we only saw a few outdoor enthusiasts where we were, and only had an encounter with one mountain biker. We did a little bushwhacking over to Becca's favorite shady spot in the sand and waited patiently while she had a good long lie-down.
We're headed for the high 90s today, but we were able to get in a nice hike before the blast-furnace temperature kicked in.

One of the nicest times to be in the desert is soon after the sun rises.
