An Osha Redux

Northern Flicker
Dr. K and I got started at 8:20 on the Osha Trail (again) this morning and almost immediately ran into two guys running with a dog.  We had another encounter with a dog about two-thirds of the way through our trek on the far side of the loop (going counterclockwise):  a Brown Lab named Bailey who was pulling her human on a leash behind herself.  The man told us he and Bailey were now permanent residents of Cloudcroft, having moved there three years ago from Houston.

After our hike on the Osha we headed over to the Family Dollar to pick up some supplies:  bottled water, coffee, pancake mix and gum.  Then we headed back down the mountain to our cabin.  Later this afternoon a pest control guy is supposed to show up and scout around for a potential rodent problem in the crawlspace beneath the house.

Your photos perfectly capture the beauty of this trail. No wonder it's one of the most popular in this area. P.S. I hope that dog has a license to drive.
