Around 7,000 Feet

White Sands in the distance
Dr. K and I got a somewhat early start on the Grand View Trail in the Sacramento Mountains this morning.  Although it was cool when we set off (57F) the humidity was sky high, which we felt more intensely on the return leg of the trek because the sun was shining brightly.

The only critters spotted on our morning outing were birds and lizards, but, fortunately, we saw no humans.  Always nice to get in a hike on the Grand View without bumping into anyone else.

It goes without saying--therefore, I should probably stop saying it--but we really missed having Becca along on this one of her favorite high country trails.
