Chatting Along the Way

Spiny Lizard on our fence
I ran into Raymond just starting out from the Sunset Area parking lot, and we walked together up the first section of road leading to the mountaintop.  We had a nice chat during the climb.  Then I took the trail that crosses over to the road leading into the lower desert.  From there I followed the outer loop road to the trail heading west, and trekked all the way out to the intersection with the crosscut trail.

Unbeknownst to me, Barry and Renee were coming up from the direction of the mountain, and we all stood and chatted for ten or fifteen minutes before parting company.

Afterward I crossed over to the other dirt road, followed it to the single-track and headed back up into the western foothills of Tortugas Mountain.  It was a pretty uneventful outing, and the photos I took this morning pretty much reflect that fact.
